About Anthony

For Boys

You've probably tried encouraging him before. You know the drill, initial excitement, then gradual disengagement.

That's not his fault. Most programs aren't designed for how boys actually work. Boys respond to their environment. Given the right support and structure, they engage and grow.

Imagine your son walking in the door after training, tired, proud, already telling you about what he did. Imagine him standing taller, sleeping better, choosing to go back next week without being asked.

The boys who commit to our programs don’t just get stronger physically and emotionally, they become more confident in how they carry themselves, more willing to have a go, and more positive with their relationships.

Here's what I've learned after 25 years working with boys:

'The window matters.' The boys who find something positive to anchor to during these years carry that confidence, discipline, and identity into adulthood. The boys who don't can often struggle to find it later".

This is about giving your son something real to commit to during the years when it matters most.

The Yr. 7-9 Functional Fitness Programs are designed for boys who aren't playing any sport, and boys that are aiming to 'level up' in their sport.

Our Year 10–12 Strength and Conditioning Programs teach older teens how to build real strength in a safe, supervised environment with boys their age.

This isn’t a gym where teenagers are left to guess what to do. Every session includes 1-1 coaching, so the boys learn correct lifting technique and movement patterns from the start.

We focus on:
• Safe strength training
• Correct lifting technique
• Building confidence and good habits
• Developing strong movement foundations

Sessions are small group training with individual coaching, helping the boys build the muscle memory and skills for lifelong training.

A pre-program survey and fitness testing is completed by all boys to ensure training is safe, appropriate, and tailored to their individual needs.

Hi, I’m Anthony King. With over 25 years of experience across education and fitness serving as an Assistant Principal, PE teacher, and Positive Behaviour Coach. I’ve dedicated my career to supporting young men.

Whether I'm in a school, in my wellness centre coaching and mentoring boys, being a father or helping at the local sports club.  My goal is to equip boys with the character and discipline required to be successful, responsible, respectful citizens. Ensuring they contribute positively to their families and the wider community."

I’ve seen what happens when boys are pushed, compared, or judged — and I’ve seen what happens when they’re given the right balance of challenge, structure, and support.

I started K1NG Wellness after training my own sons and their mates for the last few years in my home wellness centre in Mornington.

All the boys have had significant physical growth which has enhanced their sporting pursuits, but what I (and the parents) noticed more was the emotional changes such as;

Increased confidence and resilience, more focus at school, and an increase in their connection with not only their mates but also at home.

At K1NG Wellness our mission is to:

Support local families to raise a generation of young men who are physically capable, emotionally resilient, and equipped with lifelong habits for wellbeing.

K1NG Wellness is where you get stronger, fitter, faster, and more confident — without pressure, judgment, mirrors, or ego.

You don’t need to be sporty.
You don’t need gym experience.
You won’t be judged or compared.

Yr. 10–12 Strength & Conditioning

If you want to get stronger and learn how to train properly, this is where you start.

Most teenagers walk into a gym and just copy what they see online. That’s how bad habits and injuries happen.

In this program, you’ll learn how to lift properly from the start, with 1–1 coaching every session.

We’ll teach you how to:
• Lift with the right technique
• Build real strength
• Move well and avoid injuries

Sessions are small group training, so you still get individual coaching and feedback every session, whilst interacting with boys your age.

No pressure. Try a session, first one’s free, bring a mate. If you like it, join the program.
